The informant informed about the bombs been set up at 3 railway stations and one at Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow. Following the call, special forces and local Mumbai Police got into the matter and carried out the search operations.

The police official said, “Mumbai police’s main control room had received the call around 9:45 PM on Friday, in which the caller said that bombs have been placed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus(CSMT), Byculla, Dadar Railway station and at megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow in Juhu. After getting the call, the Government Railway station(GRP), Railway Protection Force(RPF) along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad(BDDS), dog squads and local police personnel rushed to these locations and carried out searches.”

At CSMT station, searches were carried out with the help of BDDS and dog squads on its platforms, Divisional Railway Manager office(DRM), parking lots and other nearby areas. Anti Terrorism Squad(ATS), Quick Response Team(QRT), and few local police teams carried out the searches in Marine Drive and Azad Maidan as well.

But sooner the police tracked the number at Shil Phata near Mumbra in Thane district on not being able to find anything suspicious in the search operations. The two anonymous callers, one of whom is found to be a truck driver were thereby arrested on Saturday. “The caller is a truck driver from Marathwada region of Maharashtra. We have learnt that he has a habit of drinking. He has been detained along with one more person and the process to register an offence is currently on,” the police officer informed.
