Jaipur. As 8th august marks the ending of world’s most popular sports event Summer Olympics held in Tokyo Japan. Sports enthusiast from all over the world are now all set and waiting for Winter Olympics which is gonna held in Beijing China in 2022. This event is going to be organized from 4th of Feb till 20th of Feb 2022. But if you are living in India, probably you are unaware of Winter Olympics or either you have less knowledge about it. Today we are going to unfold Winter Olympics.
Winter Olympics was started in 1924 at Chamonix in the French Alps. In the biggening there are only 14 events in 6 sports including ski and bobsleigh, which was now increased to 109 events in 15 sports at Beijing. These sports including :-

- Skiing
- Bobsleigh
- Curling
- figure skating
- snow-boarding
- Biathlon
- Nordic combined
- Luge
- Skeleton
- Speed skating

In the beginning around five years after Olympics were held an event is organized know as Nordic games played between Scandinavian countries only. And Sweden has only right to organize it. It was held on the basis of Olympics only in every 4years and after 2 or 3 Nordic games International Olympic committee wants to start Winter Olympics and tried for it but Sweden clearly refused to change its event as it was so popular in Sweden. In 1916 Germany wants to organize Winter Olympics before Summer Olympic in Berlin but world war 1st vanished all the planning. In 1920 Olympics IOC included ice hockey. And soon after signed an agreement with Scandinavian countries which results in 1925 Winter Olympics.
