The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is making plans to conduct the term-1 board examination for classes 10 and 12 in offline mode in November-December, mentioned information corporation PTI on Thursday. CBSE is providing 114 topics for class 12 students and seventy five topics in class 10. If it conducts assessments for all topics of class 10 and class 12 at one go, it’ll take 40-45 days to complete.

“As important topics are provided through all of the affiliated faculties, tests of those subjects might be conducted through fixing date sheet as done in advance,” the circular read.

“Regarding minor topics, CBSE will make organization of colleges providing those topics, accordingly multiple paper might be carried out through CBSE in those schools on a day,” it added.

CBSE exam controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that when the term-1 examination, no student could be given a “pass” or “compartment” result.

“The results of term-1 examination might be declared withinside the form of marks scored. No student might be placed in the pass, compartment and important repeat categories after the primary time period. The very last results might be introduced after the primary and the second-term exam,” he stated.

“Practical assessments or inner assessment might be completed in schools earlier than the first-time period tests are over. The marks allocated will be 50% of the total marks and stated in the syllabus. The schools might be informed one at a time about the total scheme on the way to make the vital preparations,” he added.
