Etawah. The dream of 5.51 lakh poor people of different rural areas of the state was fulfilled on Wednesday. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), the keys of these houses built with Rs 6637.72 crore were distributed to the beneficiaries by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through a virtual program organized at his official residence. Symbolically, Yogi himself gave the keys to the five beneficiaries. The special thing is that the ownership of 70 percent of these houses has been given to women.
In the home entry ceremony of the beneficiaries of both the schemes, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the biggest benefactor of the poor. They are always ready to solve the problems and concerns of the underprivileged, exploited and poor. To provide housing to the poor, he conceptualized the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and implemented it from April 1, 2016. This ambitious scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on November 20, 2016 from Agra. He has said that the dream of the Prime Minister is that every poor should have his own house. In Indore schemes, about 42 lakh houses were sanctioned in the last 4 years, while a total of 53 lakh houses were built in the earlier 30 years. This shows that the previous governments did not pay full attention to the solution of housing problems of the poor. Congratulating the beneficiaries, Yogi said that everyone is getting the benefit of PM’s vision of self-reliance. Beneficiaries of these housing schemes are also being given benefits of other beneficiary schemes like Ujjwala, Saubhagya, Ayushman Bharat, ration card, toilet construction, destitute women pension, old age pension, scheme etc.
