Indian Men lost in Hockey semis, Sonam in her Wrestling debut at the Tokyo Olympics.

Kamalpreet ended sixth, Anu could not qualify for finals in Javelin Throw.


Indian men faced defeat in the semi-finals of Hockey at Tokyo Olympics in a match against Belgium led by the score of 5-2. It was after four decades when India entered into the semis, however, the team will be in face off with the looser of second semi-final among Australia vs Germany to stand third in the Olympics.

Indian wrestler, Sonam Malik lost her bout in her debut match against Bolortuya Khurelkhuu of Mongolia in 62kg category on August 3. In Javelin Throw, India’s representor, Anu Malik could not qualify for finals at the Olympic games finishing 14th with below-par throw of 54.04m. Kamalpreet Kaur who qualified for finals with her 64m long Discus Throw ended Sixth in the Tokyo Olympics.
