A magnificent hundred from KL Rahul helped Lucknow score 199 for 4 in their 20 overs. LSG’s skipper remained not out on 103 after playing 60 deliveries. His knock consisted of 9 fours and 5 sixes. He started the innings well with Quinton De Cock (24 off 13) for 52 runs before the fall of the first wicket. Later he was joined by Manish Pandey who scored 38 off 29 balls including 6 boundaries. KL and Manish together put a partnership of 72 runs for 2nd wicket. For Mumbai, Jaydev Unadkat picked up 2 wickets. Tymal Mills and Murugan Ashwin took 1 wicket each.
Chasing 200, Mumbai lost their skipper Rohit Sharma in under 3 overs. Mumbai lost 3 three for 57 runs. Then it was Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma who kept MI’s hopes alive by scoring 64 runs before the fall of the 4th wicket. Suryakumar was the top scorer for MI scoring 37 off 27 balls.
