Kamalpreet in finals of discus, men and women won in hockey, Sindhu in semifinals: Tokyo Olympics

Men and women hockey teams to continue in Olympics while India concluded with no medals in Archery.


PV Sindhu will play against Tai Tzu-Ying for semifinal of women’s singles. In a game against South Africa, Indian women won with the final score of 4-3 keeping up the hopes to play the quarterfinals. Men team of Hockey also qualified for quarter-final beating Japan by 5-3 on July 30. Kamalpreet Kaur, with a throw ranging 64m and finishing second made her place to qualify for Women’s Discus Final. Pooja Rani to will be seen in action.

Indian boxer couldn’t make it through Men’s Flyweight Round of 16 match on loosing to Yuberjen Martinez of Columbia. Seema Punia in Discus Throw final and Archer Atanu Das in pre-quarterfinal match also lost and got knocked out concluding India with no medal in Archery. Anjum Moudgil got eliminated from 50m Rifle 3 pos.
