Due to the rising cases again and outbreak of the new Covid strain, Delta, many parts of the World are considering to impose lockdowns. In India, Tamil Nadu government may comply with all restrictions to control the spread of Covid-19 where the existing lockdown has been extended till August 9 with no new reliefs. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin urged to the public to follow the guidelines and get fully vaccinated otherwise the government may need to impose strict lockdown restrictions all over the state.
The Maharashtra government previously took decision to allow only those engaged in medical and essential services to travel in local trains. To avoid crowding suburban services are suspended since April 15 in the state, however, a decision to give some relaxation to fully vaccinated people might be taken today. However, 17 villages in Ahmednagar district opted for voluntary lockdown.
Considering the situation in coming 15 days in the Karnataka state, the state government will take a call on imposing nightlife clubs and weekend curfews, CM Basavaraj Bommai said on July 31.
