Maruti Suzuki car prices increase from today by 2%

Leading automobile producer Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has stated that the elevated costs of its automobiles will come into impact from today. In a regulatory submitting on Monday, Maruti stated that the costs are being elevated to pass on a few effect of additional input expenses to customers.

“In continuation to our earlier verbal exchange on 30th August 2021, please be aware that from 06th September 2021. The Company introduced a price change for selected models owing to increase in diverse input charges,” the company stated in a regulatory filing

The growth in automobile prices can be around 2% acoss the country. “The weighted average price increase in Ex-Showroom Prices in selected models is 1.9%,” it stated.

At present the company sells various models from entry-level hatchback Alto to S-CROSS, priced between ₹2.99 lakh and ₹12.39 lakh.

Last week, Maruti Suzuki India stated it’s far recalling 1,81,754 units of petrol trims of diverse models, such as Ciaz, Vitara Brezza and XL6, to update defective motor generator unit.
