RIL’s market capitalization went above Rs 15 lakh crore last week
Etawah. The market capitalization (MCAP) of nine of the top 10 most valuable companies in the country saw a jump of Rs 2,93,804.34 crore last week. More than one-third of this growth came in Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) alone. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex crossed the 57,000 and 58,000 levels on the back of all-round buying in the stock markets. The Sensex gained 2,005.23 points or 3.57 per cent in the last week’s trading. During the last full month, the Sensex has seen a rise of more than nine percent. The market capitalization of the country’s most valuable company RIL jumped by Rs 1,02,382 crore last week to reach Rs 15,14,017.50 crore, crossing the Rs 15 lakh crore mark. With this, RIL became the first Indian company to achieve a capitalization of Rs 15 lakh crore. In the recounting week. The capitalization of the country’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) increased by Rs 44,832.5 crore last week to Rs 14,20,935.10 crore. Bharti Airtel put in Rs 35,342.16 crore to its capitalization last week. With this increase, the company was on Monday with a capitalization of Rs 3,61,540.16 crore will get into business. Funding of Bajaj Finance expand by Rs 33,906.91 crore to Rs 4,54,207.76 crore last week, HUL expand by Rs 20,712.29 crore to Rs 6,49,943.93 crore, ICICI Bank gained by Rs 17,373.55 crore to Rs 5,02,232.46 crore. SBI rose Rs 17,001.38 crore to Rs 3,85,007.74 crore and HDFC Bank grows Rs 14,954.74 crore to Rs 8,72,362.42 crore. Asset lender HDFC’s market capitalization rose by Rs 7,298.81 crore to Rs 4,98,290.05 crore last week. The market cap of Infosys, out of the top 10 Sensex only, fell by Rs 3,457.12 crore to Rs 7,21,244.78 crore last week. RIL, TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, HUL, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, SBI and Bharti Airtel were the top 10 companies in the stock market by capitalization at the end of last week.
