Fear of ‘Beast’ and ‘KGF 2’: The release date of Shahid Kapoor‘s film ‘Jersey‘ has been extended by about a week. According to reports, the release date of the film has been extended due to the box office clash of the film with Yash’s ‘KGF Chapter’ and Vijay’s ‘Beast’. Apart from Shahid, Mrunal Thakur is also in the lead role in the film.

Movie critic and analyst, Takan Adarsh recently took to his official Twitter handle to share information about the postponement of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film. In his tweet, he informed that the date of the film has been pushed forward by about a week and will now hit the theaters on April 22, 2022. Along with this, he also told that the stakeholders have taken this decision late last night.
The release date of the film was postponed several times
Let me tell you, this is not the first time that the release date of the film has been postponed. The film was earlier scheduled to release on 28 August 2020, but due to the delay in the production of the film due to Kovid-19, its date was extended to 5 November 2021. Later the release date of the film was finalized on 31 December 2021, but due to the third wave of Kovid it was postponed again to 14 April.

It will be a sports drama flick
The film is an upcoming sports drama flick written and directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, Arjun Talwar and Vidya Talwar are playing the lead roles. The film also stars Pankaj Kapur, Ronit Kamra, Shishir Sharma, Geetika Mahandru, Rudrashish Majumdar and Rituraj Singh in lead characters.
