On Tuesday morning, Indian Air Force plane took off from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, taking along the Indian Embassy members and important documents. From a source, information was received that, “Flight carrying 130 people will land at Hindon airport, 39 km away from Delhi.” On Sunday, another IAF heavy-lift aircraft reached Afghanistan late night and returned from Kabul with a number of Indians, sources informed.
The situation in Afghanistan are constantly being monitored at high levels and that suspension of commercial operations have forced a pause in India’s exile efforts, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said. Bagchi also said to the media that, “We are in constant touch with the representatives of Afghan Sikhs and Hindu communities. We will facilitate repatriation to India of those who wish to leave Afghanistan.
