TikToker in Pakistan assaulted and her clothed allegedly torn on Independence Day.

A woman and her 6 companions were making a video when 300-400 men near Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore attacked them on Independence day of Pakistan, August 14.


A woman in Pakistan alleged that she and her six companions were assaulted by being thrown into air and her clothes were torn while she and her companions were filming a video in Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore. A video is going viral over the social media where hundreds of men are seen assaulting the woman on August 14.

The woman claimed that she and her companions were recording a TikTok video when 300-400 people attacked the, though they made many efforts to escape but failed to breakout. The woman said, “The crowd was huge and people were scaling the enclosure and coming towards us. People were pushing me to the extent that they tore my clothes. Several people tried to help me but the crowd was too huge and they kept throwing me in the air. The unidentified people assaulted us violently.” The woman alleged that a mobile phone of her companion, his ID card and Rs.15,000 were snatched.

The Lahore police reported a case in the matter. Lahore DIG Operations Sajid Kiyani ordered the Superintendent of Police(SP) to take immediate action against suspects involved. “Those who violated women’s honor and harassed them will be brought within the ambit of the law,” DIG said.
